About Weight Loss?

Before you start any diet or weight lost program
it is necessary to understand why you are overweight.
There may be several factors that may have a part
in your weight problems.

Your family�s idea about food.

Many families encourage eating when you are young.
Parents reward their children for good behavior by
giving them extra sweets.

Big meals are standard with some families. Your mother
loves you, to prove it she cooks all your favorite foods
and watches as you eat them .

Using food as a psychological
comfort blanket.

Many people use food to obtain the calm feeling you
get from a full stomach. Many are stressed and this
gives them a good feeling. They feel relaxed but the
stress is still there in the back of the mind
and when it returns they eat more.

Others use food as a control tool. These people are
usually in situations were they are powerless. By
over eating they are in control and have the power
to eat or stop when they want to stop.

It takes time to loss weight. Many people want to lose
their weight in a few short days or weeks. There is no
one who eats a meal and goes to sleep, then wakes
up the next morning ten or twenty pounds heavier.
After surgery a weight loss will be experienced,
but that was the purpose of the surgery.

It takes time to gain weight and you should loss weight
over time. Your body adjusted to your weight gain
slowly when you gainned it and now time is needed
to adjust to the weight loss.

Exercise is an important part of loosing weight. When
you loss weight quickly the skin dosen't have time
to conform to your new shape; thus, the skin will
hang off the body as loose flab. It 's not necessary
to start a strict work out rountine or to enroll in a gym.
There are many easy things to do such as walking,
jogging or dancing. It is important to move, not spend
your time sitting on the couch.
