Why Fad Diets are Unhealthy

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

A Natural Weight Loss Diet does not cause any of the
Health problems caused by
Fad Diets or Quick Weight Loss Diets.

Besides the risk of dehydration, there are several
Health reasons that make Fad Diets a risk to your
Health.

The normal source of energy is the carbohydrate,
which has been limited due to dieting so the body will
Burn Fat for energy. So you think Fat Burning is great
but the problem is that the body can not Burn Fat
completely without the present of carbohydrates.

This incomplete Fat Burning process produces
ketones which accumulate in the blood. The only
means for the body to eliminate the ketones  is
via the urine, causing dehydration and the fruit like
breathe that is key sign that a diabetic is in danger.

If the process is not stopped the body can  go into
shock which may lead to body shut down of all the
system and finally death.

This chemical imbalance is similar to what happens
to diabetics who don’t eat every few hours to
maintain their blood chemistry  balance.

Still another problem with the incomplete Fat Burning
is that very little usable energy is produced and you
may feel fatigued and weak.

Another problem can be caused by the Fad Diets,
the wasting away of body muscle. Sure you are
using your muscles everyday so you think that will
keep you in shape, but that’ not why you get
muscle waste.

When the body goes to repair itself proteins are very
important in the process. So while you sleep the body
tries to repair it self using what resources are there.
One source of protein is muscles tissue. This is why
people loose muscle on long time fad diets. The loss
isn’t due to disuse of muscles, atrophy, or decrease
in the size of the muscle but to the body breaking
down the muscles.

The weakness may not be realized until later since
weakness is also seen with the incomplete burning of
fat. There will be an increase in energy as soon as
the carbohydrates are taken into the body but the
recovery will not be at the previous level. It usually
takes time for the results to be seen and then it may
be a major Health issue.

These are a few of the complications caused by
using Fad Diets over a long time. There are still
issues with the immune systems and other organs
of the body that we have not mentioned.

And it isn’t smart to use the Fad Diet and then go on
a regular diet, then back to the Fad Diet, thinking
that you can control the damage. Since you can’t
see the damage how can you asset what you
damage has been done? The body is very good at
adapting to difficulties without causing any great pain.

Lose the weight the same way you gained it over a
period of time. Fad Diets are not safe to use for long
term weight loss, don’t gamble on your Health and
lifestyle for a quick fix that will only cost you
your health in the long run.

Natural Weight Loss is the safe and Healthy Way
to Lose Weight.

Why People Overeat.

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

The answer to the question may seem to be
obvious to you. We need to eat to stay alive.
If that was true then why are there so many
overweight people?

Many overweight people don’t only eat to stay
alive but have various other reasons for eating.

1. The biggest reason people eat is for stress
relief. The mind is working fast, your
thoughts are flashing quicking in and out
of your mind. You can’t concentrate on one
thing. You need to slow down, so you eat.

2. People are bored and need something to do.
It is easy to walk to the kitchen and grab some
food. Why not made a little something else to go
with your snack? It taste so good, and you have
time for another helping.

3.As a child our believes are influenced by what
our parents tell us. Eating habits are learn at
a young age, such as it is wrong to leave food
on your plate. When you grow older, you don’t
leave food on your plate because you believe
subconsciously it is wrong if you do.

4. In todays’ face pace work environment, you
are overloaded with work. It seems there isn’t
enough time to do everything, so it is easy to
set things aside. Many people do just that by
skipping eating time. When they finally grab a
few minutes to eat, the food is just
"shoveled in" and "gulped down".

5. People are on a Diet and binge eat at night
because they are so hungry and can’t control
themselves.

6. People who are depressed or are in a situation
without any control, will Overeat for control, they
know they are overeating but continue to prove
that they are in control of their body.

Although eating is necessary to survive many
people Overeat for a variety of reasons which
may be a sign of underlying problems that need
to be resolved first.

Overeating leads to many Health problems but it
may be necessary to understand why someone
Overeats to resolve the eating problem.

What Is Overeating?

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Many health problems in the states can be traced to complications caused by Overeating. Eating is necessary for the human body to function. This is one of the main requirements for humans to live, thus we need a diet that will meet our needs.

Overeating is when the body is given too many calories  to carry out necessary activities. The extra calories are unused and stored as fat.

Babies and children understand this idea of Overeating and will normally stop Eating when they have eaten the required amount of calories the body needs.

Very active people also require more calories and usually eat more food than would be considered normal. A person working as a construction worker would be eating more calories than a office worker.

How many calories you need depends on your lifestyle such as type of work you do, you body type and your metabolism rate. Younger people usually have a higher metabolism rate than an elderly person due to growth and developing bodies.

Since various types of foods contain different amounts of calories, the type of food is also important when considering a proper Diet.  A plate of a green leafy salad may not contain as many calories as a small piece of meat, but add a large helping of creamy salad dressing and the calorie count will triple.

For a diet that meets your needs you should consider all the mentioned factors along with your personal preferences and lifestyle. Remember it is better for your Health to stop Overeating than to spend your money and time fighting the complications caused by constantly consuming excess calories.
